What is Bridge city fest all about?

Bridge city fest started in 2021 during the pandemic. It started out as a 3 day livestream of pre recorded live sets from bands all over the world and a handful at our studio. Our founder Nick Wilson wanted to figure out a way to safely book an events so bands would still be able to play and create content for their fans and see a show. Events were getting cancelled worldwide and this gave us an opportunity to keep recording bands and doing what we love. We handpicked some amazing bands and put together 3 successful fests from 2021-2023.

In 2024 we threw our first in person festival. 30+ bands over 3 days at three different venues. It gave us a chance to bring our event to life and build it into something that was far bigger and more inspirational than we ever imagined. Festivals are nothing new but we had an opportunity to make our mission booking bands that stood for what we believed in. Diversity and inclusivity felt way more important to the music community than to book the same bands that you see on every lineup. We wanted to change that.

We support the lgbtqia+ community, we suppOrt bands that are bipoc, trans, queer, fem, and anti fascist. We’ve seen all the same all white man bands for years, it felt like the most diverse people were the audience members.

Punk rock is about community and creating safe spaces for marginalized artists and their fans. If we could use our bridge city brand and platform for something like booking a fest, we wanted to use it for good. Our belief that music is an outlet for change stands strong, and it starts with us doing things differently and with purpose.
