Bridge City Fest FAQ
Q: Where are you located and what is the booking process like?
A: We are located in Portland OR. Once you email us we will discuss the schedule, rates (click here), and details to fit you into our calendar as soon as possible. You will need to pre record your set and get post production done before our premiere date July 29th-31st 2022.
Q: Can i play the fest on any of the dates of the event July 29th-31st?
A: Unfortunately no, we are not having bands perform live the date of the event for a few reasons: We have 40+ other bands to manage for the fest and need to get all post production done in advance (June deadline) to make sure everything goes smoothly and on time. Streaming a band live also doesn’t allow for mixing, mastering, and editing in post. Last reason is having to live stream video at 30fps and using Wi-Fi for the signal which we all know can be unreliable at times.
Q: How long of a live set can i play?
A: Whether you are playing our studio or submitting a set remote we are asking for a 20-25 minute set. Feel free to talk in-between songs, make an intro, and give your set that live show experience. If you go over your set time we can cut it down and when we post your full set by itself and we can add the bonus songs after the fest.
Q: Do you have a backline of gear? What do i bring?
A: Yes we have a full backline, here is our gear list: Orange 412 guitar cab, Orange 212 guitar cab, Orange 410 bass cab, Vintage Ampeg 8x10 square back bass cab, Marshal 1960a lead guitar cab, 2 Orange Crush Pro guitar heads, Dark Terror guitar head, Tiny Terror bass head. We have a new custom 5 piece Öqvist drum kit, 7 piece Pacific cx series drum kit and a Wail City Snare. We have stands but you need to bring your own cymbals and a kick pedal.
Q: Can i submit a live show that we have already used in the past or for another event?
A: We prefer you use footage that you recorded exclusively for the fest. The show is more entertaining and realistic to the viewer to have a set that was shot for the fest. Plus we are putting this out on multiple platforms so we prefer not to put out duplicate sets.
Q: What type of video files, and how do i send them if my band is submitting a set remotely?
A: We accept most video types as long as they are at least 1080p and we prefer Dropbox, google drive, or wetransfer for sending over your set.
Q: What is the deadline of the remote fest submissions?
A: We prefer mid June is the deadline you can send in your video, you can send in your video anytime before then. If you don’t make this deadline we may give you a couple days for a special circumstance, but be warned you may get taken off the fest. We will have to find a replacement if you wait till the last second. Please don’t be late!
Q: Can i play covers in my set for the fest?
A: Yes, but if you plan to monetize your video in any way we would advise against it.
Q: Do i get copies of audio or video of my live set?
A: Yes of course, same procedure as our sessions. Once we release it on our channel we will give you a copy of audio and video to upload to any platform you choose.
